Thank you for using TradeO'Clock. Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy document outlines the types of information we do (and do not) collect when you install and use our Chrome Extension.
1. Information Collection and Use
TradeO'Clock does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or personally identifiable information (PII). All extension operations are executed locally on your device.
- No Account Required: You do not need to register an account or log in to use the extension.
- No Analytics Tracking: We do not track your browsing history, usage metrics, or IP address.
- No External Server Transmission: Any configuration or preferences you select stay strictly within your browser.
2. Permissions and Data Storage
TradeO'Clock requires specific browser permissions to function correctly. Here is how they are used:
- Storage: Used solely to save your custom settings locally (e.g., active markets, notification rules, sound configurations). This data is stored using the Chrome Extension
chrome.storage.localAPI and never leaves your computer. - Alarms: Used to periodically update the market status clocks and determine if a market is approaching an opening or closing hour.
- Notifications: Used to display desktop alert notifications when markets open, close, or approach closing time based on your configured notification preferences.
3. Third-Party Services
Our extension does not communicate with any third-party APIs, servers, or analytics providers. All computations, timezone conversions, and alerts are performed locally using the client-side JavaScript bundle.
4. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the "Last Updated" date at the top of the policy will be revised accordingly.
5. Contact Us
If you have any questions or feedback regarding this Privacy Policy or the security of TradeO'Clock, please feel free to open an issue on our GitHub repository or contact the extension developer.
